Fallen restaging with Rambert School

Fallen performed by BalletBoyz in 2013 - image: Dave Morgan

Russell Maliphant’s 2013 piece Fallen, originally commissioned for BalletBoyz, will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year with a restaging on second-year students from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

Fallen was originally made for the ten dancers of BalletBoyz - The Talent with music by Armand Amar and lighting by Michael Hulls, and won the National Dance Award for Best Choreography (Modern) that year. Extracts of the ensemble piece will now be performed by Rambert School’s BA students as they prepare for professional careers in dance.

The restaging will be overseen by RMDC dancer Edd Arnold. Rambert students will perform the restaged work at the school in March and July this year, and at the Royal Opera House Linbury Studio this summer.
